On Wednesday 18 March, the Common Room in the Academic Building will serve as an official polling station for the Amsterdam city council elections.

To be eligible to vote in the city council elections at AUC, you must be:

  • over 18 years of age
  • registered in the municipality of Amsterdam
  • an EU citizen, or
  • a non-EU citizen who has lived in the Netherlands continuously for at least five years

Non-EU internationals in Amsterdam are permitted to vote for their district committee (stadsdeelcommissie) if they have been registered in the city for at least two years. Please bring your voting pass (stempas), which you should have received by mail, and a valid form of ID (passport, Dutch ID card, driver’s license).
