Academic calendar
Semester dates, holidays and class-free weeks
AUC's academic year runs parallel with those of VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam.
Academic Year 2025-2026
- The AUC Introduction Week 2025 will take place from 25 August 2025 to 29 August 2025.
- Semester 1 is 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (1 September 2025 to 19 December 2025) and a 4-week period (5 January 2026 to 30 January 2026).
- Semester 2 is also 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (2 February 2026 to 29 May 2026) and a 4-week period (1 June 2026 to 26 June 2026).

Academic Year 2026-2027
- The AUC Introduction Week 2026 will take place from 24 August 2026 to 28 August 2026.
- Semester 1 is 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (31 August 2026 to 18 December 2026) and a 4-week period (4 January 2027 to 29 January 2027).
- Semester 2 is also 20 weeks long, divided into a 16-week period (1 February 2027 to 28 May 2027) and a 4-week period (31 May 2027 to 25 June 2027).
