Aino Kekkonen and Lisa van Berkel are AUC's Student Life Officers. They are your first point of contact for support on all issues related to student life, no matter how big or small. You can meet with them individually for support and advice on all student life concerns.

Topics that the Student Life Officers can help with include stress management, mental health (such as anxiety or depression), lack of motivation, study skills, family or relationship problems, residential life issues (including problems with a roommate), financial questions and more. They are available for both one-time consultations as well as more ongoing support through regular meetings.

Aside from individual support, the Student Life Officers also offer support in group settings. Please find more information and the timetable of the groups below.

On top of offering individual and group meetings, Aino and Lisa’s role is to strengthen the AUC's residential community and advise AUC on policies and support systems for student well-being. They are responsible for developing and coordinating the work of the Resident Assistants (RAs) and Peer Supporters.

You can contact the Student Life Officers via studentlifeofficer@auc.nl, or find them in the SLO office, room 3.22.

Well-being support group: monthly meetings

Classes, assignments, keeping up with your social life – it can be hard to prioritise your well-being during busy times. The monthly well-being support group offers a safe space to work on your well-being goals, share experiences with fellow students and reflect on your progress.

Taking place once a month, the well-being support group is meant for any AUC student wanting to work on improving their mental health. Together we will aim to practice mindfulness and self-compassion and find ways to improve your mood and well-being. The group is led by Student Life Officer Aino Kekkonen. To get the most benefit out of the group, you are encouraged to join all meetings. However, you are also welcome to join just once or however often you want.

You can access the link to sign up per session by clicking on the date in the table below.
