All students have an AUC mailbox with a ‘@student.auc.nl’ address through Microsoft 365. You can access Microsoft 365 using your UvAnetID. Additionally, with your VUnet ID, you'll also have a VU email address. Keep an eye on emails that come via both accounts for essential university communications.

UvA / AUC email address

As of July 2020, all AUC students have an AUC mailbox (an "@student.auc.nl" email address) on the Microsoft 365 platform at their disposal. You can log on to Microsoft 365 using your UvAnetID and you will always receive emails from AUC at this AUC email address. As an additional service, the emails you receive in your AUC mailbox are also forwarded to the email address you submitted as your correspondence address in Studielink. If you are happy with this, no further action is required. If you'd like to change this, you can find out how to do so here. For more information on setting up your student email address, please visit the link below.

Two-step verification

Please note that you may also be asked to complete a 'two-step verification' process before accessing your student email. More information on this can be found here

VU email address

With your VUnet ID, you will automatically be given a VU email address. Please regularly check your VU email account for messages and/or arrange for it to be forwarded to another account. This is particularly important if you are a “VU-first” student (i.e. your tuition fee is paid to the VU) as the VU will send all important messages with regard to your university enrolment and tuition fee payments to your VU email account. You are of course welcome to use your VU email account as your main email account instead of the AUC email or your personal email.
