Event details of Artistic Practices and Climate Change

Time
16:00 -17:00

The talk draws on different examples and exhibitions recently on view in Amsterdam, including Paolo Cirio's work recently shown at FOAM and Framer Framed. The aim is to compare and contrast different models of committed artistic practice, marked by fundamentally different ideas about the relationship between individual and society, between art and politics, and between artist (or art activist) and the public sphere.

The talk will be followed by a discussion about artistic practices in relation to climate change and public debate. All students are welcome.
