The group will convene once a month, generally on the first Thursday, to examine these texts. Due to the varying lengths of the dialogues, some discussions may extend over multiple sessions, with the entire process expected to take about three years.
It is fine to use a different (reliable) edition than the ones linked above. You may, for example, want to read Plato in the language that is closest to you.
Participants can look forward to focused, slide-free discussions that emphasise the text and collaborative thinking. Meetings will take place in person during the lunch breaks from 12:30 to 13:45. Attendees are welcome to arrive slightly late or leave early if needed for class schedules. For current students, please note that participation in this group does not lead to credits/ECTS.
AUC students, staff and alumni are welcome to join the group and it's no problem if you can’t attend every session. If you want to join, send Mariëtte an email.
