Adjusted opening hours 

During the summer, the AUC academic building has adjusted opening hours: 

1 July - 12 July 2024 

• Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 18:00 

• Saturday - Sunday: closed 

15 July – 16 August 2024 

• Tuesday – Thursday: 08:00 – 18:00 
• Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: closed 

19 August – 30 August 

• Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 18:00
• Saturday - Sunday: closed 

From 2 September, regular opening hours will apply. 

Staff working remote on Mondays & Fridays from 15 July to 16 August 

Although the Academic Building will be closed, staff will be working remotely on Mondays and Fridays from 15 July to 16 August. If you have a question or need to get in touch with a staff member on these days, please do so by email or schedule a virtual meeting in advance. Staff members who cannot or do not want to work from home on these days can work from a University of Amsterdam location (a Science Park 904, for example). 

No office hours

Students are welcome to use the study spaces and attend events within the specified opening hours. However, there are no office hours. If you need to meet with an AUC staff member during the summer break, please be sure to schedule your appointment in advance. 

Maintenance in the Academic Building 

During the summer, various maintenance projects will be carried out in the building. The grand staircase will be painted from the third floor to the ground floor, project rooms and corridors near the classrooms will be repainted. Additionally, the entire building will undergo a thorough cleaning. Please note that this may cause minor disturbances for those working from or visiting the Academic Building.
