What language to choose, level test and enrolment
On this page, you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding choosing a contextualizing language course, the Language Level Predictor test and enrolling in courses of your preferred language.
AUC offers Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Chinese and Arabic.

Read the course description in the course catalogue to determine which course you believe you should be placed in. As a further check, please complete the Language Level Predictor self-test. You will be able to determine the course you should be placed in immediately after completing the test.
Once you have determined the appropriate course, you can proceed with requesting this course via GLASS during the course registration period. In the first week of class, your instructor will conduct a further check to ensure all students are in the appropriate language courses.
Yes, you can take language courses off-campus, either in a university in the Netherlands or abroad. The Board of Examiners needs to approve the off-campus course.
No. Please consult the course catalogue for up to date information about when courses are being offered.
Courses are occasionally cancelled because of low enrolment numbers. If that happens, you will be informed by the Registrar that your course is cancelled and will be asked to give them an alternative.
