Introduction Days for Exchange Students
The Introduction Days consist of various practical and social activities to get exchange students settled and welcome them to the AUC community. The programme includes receiving the keys to their rooms, meeting the AUC Student Association, going over their course schedules and meeting their tutor, and getting to know our Science Park campus and the city of Amsterdam.

Monday, 2 February: Key pick-up & Move in day
Time Activity Location Description 14.00-16.00 Key Pick-up &
Move-in Dorms (for Students with a direct DUWO contract -not a dublet)*AUC Student Residences (DUWO Caretakers Office) Pick-up your dorm key and welcome by AUC Housing Officer Roos between 14:00-16:00.
Students who are in sublet can arrange the key-handover and determine the move-date with their landlord.
19.00-21.00 Optional dinner & meet the other exchange students

Tuesday, 3 February: Open Office Hours of AUC International Office

Wednesday, 4 February: Welcome International Office & Meet AUCSA
Time Activity Location Description 10.30-11.30 Welcome Session with AUC International Office* AUC room 1.02 Official welcome and practical information presentation with Liv from AUC's International Office. There will be time to address questions and concerns.
11.30-11.45 Coffee Break 11.45-13.00 AUCSA & AUCSC Introduction and Quiz* AUC room 1.02 Get to know the Student Association and Student Council of AUC and conclude the morning with a fun activity! 13.00-14.00 Lunch AUC room 1.02 For our first day together, we will be introducing you to some familiar Dutch products! 14.00-14.45 Travel to City Centre in Groups By train, bus, tram, bike 14.50-16.00 Boat Tour of Amsterdam City Centre* Rederij Kooij The boat leaves at 15:00 sharp, so please make sure to be there 10 minutes before departure! 19.00-Late Potluck Dinner AUC Student Dorms Have dinner together with other exchange students as well our student association and student council representatives. The exact location and room numbers will be shared in the WhatsApp group. -
Thursday, 5 February: Meet Your Tutor & Explore Amsterdam
Time Activity Location Description 10.00-10.45 Tutor Presentation* AUC room 1.02 Meet your AUC tutor Wade Geary (your academic adviser while at AUC). 10.45-11.00 Break & Time for Questions 11.00-12.00 Introduction to Student Life Officers* AUC room 1.02 12.00-15.00 (Independent) lunch & Free Time Grab lunch around Science Park 15.00-Onwards AUCSA Activity* City Centre (exact location TBC) Meeting AUC’s student Association in the City Centre for an afternoon of fun surprise activities! -
6 February: Science Park Tour & Ice-skating
Time Activity Location Description 10.30-11.30 Science Park Tour* Meet at AUC Academic building AUC’s Student Association Board will guide you for a tour around Science Park so you can get to know the neighbourhood you will be living in for this semester. 11.45-13.30 Ice Skating Jaap Edenbaan Join us at the world’s oldest ice-skating rink! Leaving as a group from Science Park. 13.30-Onwards Free afternoon -
9 February: Start of classes
Classes at AUC start on Monday 9 February for the Spring 2026 semester. To check your schedule, and to see when and where your classes are, please visit AUC Portal.
