Detailed information about the AUC curriculum
AUC has developed six course constellations to support your mobility between majors and help you discover synergies between the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences. The constellations, which are not mandatory, relate to UvA and VU research themes and focus on important societal challenges. If you seek inspiration for course registration and are keen to discover new interdisciplinary pathways through the curriculum, please see the constellation information:
AUC's course registration takes place via GLASS. This digital interface will help you search for courses, find their descriptions and timetables, identify entry requirements and allow you to plan and submit your course registration each semester. You can log in using your UvA-ID.
The AUC Curriculum Planner tool is integrated into the AUC Portal environment and allows you to easily view graduation requirements, review where you are in the process of fulfilling them and plan course selections for future semesters. More information can be found on the AUC Portal page.
Pre-Law Track
AUC has developed a Pre-Law Track, which incorporates existing AUC law track courses. If students complete the mandatory and elective courses in this track and meet the Dutch language requirements, they will be admissible to the pre-master programme UvA-AUC ‘Civiel Effect’ Fast-track Law Bachelor (LLB) Programme. AUC, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of the University of Amsterdam (UvA), offers the opportunity for (Dutch-speaking) AUC students with an interest in a legal career in the Netherlands to participate in the one-year UvA-AUC ‘Civiel Effect’ Fast-track Law Bachelor (LLB) Programme upon completing the AUC Pre-Law Track.
AUC's curriculum includes a 'Health and Well-being' theme that intends to support students who would like to go on to study at postgraduate programmes in the health and life sciences. In particular, AUC in collaboration with both the Amsterdam Medical Centre (AMC) and VU Medical Centre (VUmc) has developed a so-called "pre-med track" for those students who would like to enter a (Dutch) medical Master's programme after graduation from AUC.
