AUC Grading system

  • For most courses you will be given a mark or final mark between 1 and 10. Marks and partial marks are awarded to a maximum of one decimal place. Final marks are generally rounded off to whole or half numbers (except between 5.0 and 6.0).
  • Certain courses are awarded the result ‘Pass’ (AVV) or ‘Failed’ (NAV). These courses do not count towards your GPA.
  • If you registered for a course but did not finalise it, or deregistered too late, you get a ‘1.0”. Failed courses do not count towards your GPA

More information on grading can be found in the Academic Standards & Procedures.
