More information about the grading policy at AUC
You can find more information about grades and the grading system used at AUC in the Academic Standards and procedures.
AUC Grading system
- For most courses you will be given a mark or final mark between 1 and 10. Marks and partial marks are awarded to a maximum of one decimal place. Final marks are generally rounded off to whole or half numbers (except between 5.0 and 6.0).
- Certain courses are awarded the result ‘Pass’ (AVV) or ‘Failed’ (NAV). These courses do not count towards your GPA.
- If you registered for a course but did not finalise it, or deregistered too late, you get a ‘1.0”. Failed courses do not count towards your GPA
